Der Filmemacher Gary Hustwit streamt während der globalen CoVid19-Krise seine Dokumentarfilme jeweils für eine Woche weltweit kostenlos (Spenden erwünscht).
May 5 to 12: I Am Trying To Break Your Heart (2002, 92 minutes)
Sam Jones’ seminal documentary captures the band Wilco and the creation of their record Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. A film which not only looks at a turbulent chapter in the band's history, but also a breakthrough moment in the struggle for artistic freedom in the corporate-dominated music industry. Rolling Stone hailed it as "one of the greatest music documentaries of all time."
Film First is currently working on a new 4K transfer and restoration of I Am Trying To Break Your Heart from the original 16mm film elements, which will be released later this year.

"Rams" ist der jüngste Dokumentarfilm des Filmemachers Gary Hustwit (Helvetica) über den legendären Designer Dieter Rams. Über 50 Jahre hat Dieter Rams sein unübersehbares Credo im Bereich der Produktgestaltung mit seinen Arbeiten für Braun und Vitsoe verbreitet und selbst die Gestaltung bei Apple beeinflusst. Der sehenswerte Dokumentarfilm ist weiterhin für ca. 4€ zu streamen oder für unter 15€ zu erwerben.
